5 simple art activities to try at home
Olena · Arty Afternoons · Sat 23 May

You don't need a studio to keep the creativity flowing between classes. Here are five of our favourites.
- Nature collage — collect leaves and petals on a walk, then arrange and glue them into a scene.
- Salt-dough sculptures — flour, salt and water make a wonderful modelling dough.
- Blow painting — drip watery paint and blow it across the page with a straw.
- Cardboard cities — save boxes and build a whole town to paint.
- Texture rubbings — lay paper over coins, leaves and fabric, then rub with a crayon.
Try narrating each step in English — it's the easiest, most natural practice there is.
